Welcome for New Species
Scientists who have traveled throughout the length and breadth of the tropical rainforests in Suriname, one of the last wild woods complex that is not intersected by any road, discovered 1300 new species of animals that has been unknown to science so far. There are ongoing studies to determine which species can be considered as newly discovered.
1. One of them is a tiny brownish frog with sticky fingers and “spur” on heel, for which she was dubbed a Cowboy frog.

2. The other is an armored, spiny catfish that was almost eaten for lunch by research team. This fish has lots of spikes that it uses for defense from ravenous piranhas, and due to its appearance is called catfish armadillo, or armored catfish.

3. The same team should be proud for finding a new kind of grasshopper, which is due to the bright colors, called crayola katydid, by the popular brand of crayons, pencils and wax crayons for children.
