Fat cats problem is really big problem! They can’t run, can’t do anything. Mouses is all around the house. They can’t play with mouse if they catch them! Overweight is problem! Maybe, if cats try to play with mouse a little more, they should lose weight! I found on the web Question “Why do cats play with their food (mouse) before they eat it?” and the best answer is “Cats by their very nature are hunter/predators. They play with there food for 3 reasons. First, the “pouncing” and “batting” cats do is to wear their pray down and tire them out. Second, The same way cats play with string or other cat toys has something to do with their predatory perception. Third, it may be a dominance thing. Deriving some pleasure from letting them go only to catch them again”.
