Generally I am not supporter of plastic surgery, I think that people should age with style – and it’s more important to be young at heart. Sydney Opera House is one of the most beautiful and famous buildings of modern architecture in the world. This is certainly the most famous symbol of Sydney. Design of the Opera House is a masterpiece of the Danish architect Jorn Utzon. He won an international competition in 1956th and entered the history of world architecture. The original design of the opera was in the form of a series of anchors, but the company that carried out the building claimed that it is impossible to build, and the Danish architect had to make a redesign. After a series of changes and vicissitudes, the construction of this building was completed in 1973. The Sydney Opera House is located within the huge port in this city. Although its name suggests it is intended only for opera, this building has a concert hall, the stage for opera and ballet, theater room and a hall for film screenings. It is home of the Symphony Orchestra, Australian Opera and Australian Ballet.

The Amazon is a river in South America. It is the second longest river in the world, with 6.448 km (The Nile is 6.650 km) and by far the largest by water flow with an average discharge of 209.000 cubic meters per second. The Amazon Basin is the largest drainage basin in the world, it covers about 30% of South America (second is the Congo basin). The river originates in the Andes and empties into the Atlantic Ocean at the equator level. The most distant source of the Amazon is in the Peruvian Andes. The river then enters Brazil on the border with Colombia. From here the river flows 3.615 km through Brazil to its confluence. The Amazon River enters the Atlantic Ocean in a broad estuary, some 325 km wide. The river is navigable to the city Iquitos, 3700 miles from the ocean, and small boats can sail another 780 kilometers to the Acua. Spanish explorer and conquistador, Francisco de Orellana, completed the first known navigation of the length of the Amazon River. There are no bridges on the Amazon River.

Most political posters in this collection acquired in the former Soviet Union, Cuba, and China. These are three countries where posters played an important political role and received a large amount of artistic attention. They are published with the supervision of the Communist Party, and were designed to make people work harder, be better communists and good patriots. They are the official propaganda of communist regimes, and the reality was often quite different than what is portrayed in the poster. You can imagine how it was for the people in all communist countries in that difficult time without the right to think for themselves. But above all these posters are a feast to the eye. They were designed by gifted artists, for whom the poster was a unique opportunity to use their talents and reach a large audience at the same time. First of all it is very easy to control thanks to his quadcopter design, over the WiFi signal, with your iPhone, iPad or some of the Android Smartphones such as HTC Sensation. Meanings of African Countries’ Names

Africa…Land of Pharaohs and cradle of civilization, but also a land of constant wars and civil strife. On the other hand, here is a history lesson for you. Follow us through this article and learn what some names of the countries mean…

1. Angola

The name comes from Ngola, a country of king Ndongo. The Portuguese continued to call all of this area like that because the king was their ally.

2. Algeria

The name comes from the name of the city Alger (in french), that is from Arab word Al-Jazair which means ‘The Islands‘, referring the four islands in front of the Alger port. The second explanation is that the name Djazair was connected to the Zirid dinasty – Clear of the Moon in Berber. The third explanation is that there was such a fertile soil, so people called it Island of Life – or Al-Jaza’ir in Arab.

3. Benin

Its name reminds of one ancient African leader, whose name was Benin.

4. Botswana

The name originates from an ethnic group Batswana, who were immigrants from central part of the south African region from 15th century. But in Satswana language the correct name is Botswana.

5. Burkina Faso

In local languages it means ‘Land of the Horizontal People’, ‘Land of the Honorable People’ and ‘Uncorrupted Land’. This name was given by Thomas Sankara, who raised the rebellion in 1983. He changed the old name of the State and took the names of two most significant language dialects in the country – Burkina (More) and Faso (Dioula).

6. Burundi

In the local language it means the land of the Kurundi-speaking.

7. Cape Verde

This country got this name when it was discovered by Portuguese, because of its thick green forests all around the country.

8. Cameroon

The Portuguese exploring the country in the 15th century, gave this name to the country because of the Wouri river that flows through Rio Camaroes zone. Not so logical, but you can find a connection.

9. Chad

Chad got its name after the same-named lake in its territory.

10. Comoro Islands

The name is derived from Arab name ‘Djazair al Qamar’ which means ‘Moon Islands’.

11. Congo

Congo got its name in the 15th century after the same-named king.

12. Ivory Coast

There is a lot of things that makes good movie: original script, good cast but also destinations where movies are filmed. Some movies will be remembered by the fact they took us to the most wonderful and most beautiful places which we could never see in person. In movies we can see landscapes of distant countries, deep oceans, universe, rain forests, deserts… And all of that can make bigger impression on us than plot and cast itself.

1. Casablanca

Casablanca is one of the biggest and most famous movie creations ever. Many people are considering it as one of the 100 best movies ever made. Film is made in 1942. “Casablanca” is a romantic drama with a mix of love and war movie. Leading actors are famous Hollywood actors Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart. Movie won 8 Oscar’s. But, among the great cast and film story, what makes us breathless are nature and landscapes of Morocco where the movie is filmed. In movie we can see beautiful pictures of Casablanca in Morocco, where the story of the movie is.

2. From Russia With Love

This movie, dated from 1963 is actually the second part of the famous James Bond series. Movie was produced by Terrence Young and many think that this is the best part of the famous agent 007 series. Sean Connery plays the leading part. Great part of the movie is filmed in Russia and the viewers had a chance to see and meet the beautiful sights of this enormous country that has so much to offer. What makes this movie memorable for the viewers is the Russian nature, along with the terrific interpretation of Sean Connery, for which people say that is among his best roles ever.

Music we listen to and sights we see is making this movie from 1968 a masterpiece. Film is produced by Stanley Kubrick, by the novel of Arthur C. Clarke. The movie is rewarded with Oscar. In this movie you can see the wonderful view at space, which we definitely can’t see in person.

5. Lawrence of Arabia

What makes a great impression on us, among the very plot of this film, are the desert landscapes where the most part of this movie is taken. Along the movie beautiful pictures of Middle East are changing. Movie is filmed in 1962 and it’s produced by David Lean. The leading role is played by British actor Peter O’Toole. The whole story is based on adventures of Lawrence in Arabia during the first World War. The big part of the fights which are happening in this movie are in the desert. You can see Damascus and Aqaba.

6. La Dolce Vita

This is the famous movie of Federico Fellini, and it’s also counted as one of the best movies ever made. Leading roles are played by Marcello Mastroianni and Anita Ekberg. Plot of this movie is happening in ‘eternal city‘ Rome. During this movie we can see wonderful architecture of this city, fountains, streets, city atmosphere… What makes this movie memorable by many is a scene where Anita Ekberg is taking a bath in the famous fountain Di Trevi. Everything that is beautiful in Rome can be seen in this movie.

7. Mr. Hulot’s Holiday

This is one of the most successful French movies ever made. In this comedy, the leading role has Jacques Tati, who also produced it. In the first year, this move was seen by five million of French. Monsieur Hulot (Tati) goes across the ocean on Atlantic coast. While there, he is going through unbelievable situations which are interesting for the viewers, but also the sights of endless blue sea and long, infinite beaches, contribute to enormous pleasure for the public. Atlantic coast that can be seen in this movie from 1954 is leaving us breathless.

8. Raiders of the Lost Ark

Nepal and Cairo are in the center of this film. Produced by Steven Spielberg and the leading actor, Harrison Ford, movie is taking us to see the amazing sights of forests and mountains of Nepal. After chasing through Nepal and chasing with Nazis, Indiana Jones is going to Cairo. Along the whole adventure what impress us the most is the ambient in which the movie is filmed. Next to action scenes in this movie, movie is filled with attractive locations. What’s interesting is the fact that ever scene from Egypt is actually filmed in Tunis. So in this movie from 1981 we can actually see the beauty of Nepal and Tunis.

9. Lost In Translation

In this movie from 2003, where leading roles are played by Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray, we can clearly see the difference in culture and temper of people from east and west. This movie gave us opportunity to meet the culture and everything else that’s beautiful in Japan. In whole move we can see Japanese architecture, their traditions, mentality… While enjoying the love, leading actors are discovering mysteries and beauty of Japan. This movie shows us how sometime is difficult get around in world where we don’t belong, and along that the viewer have a chance to enjoy the beauty of East Asia.

10. Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Leading actors in this movie from 2008 are Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Rebecca Hall… This movie is about two girls from the U.S.A. that fall in love in the same painter and while their life stories are entwining and the story is heating up, the viewers are amazed with remarkable scenes from beautiful Barcelona. Large part of these scenes are shoot in the city so we can enjoy the sight of buildings, streets and citizens of Barcelona. This city on the shore of Mediterranean sea is beautiful ambient for shooting films.

This is a good indicator that for a good film it’s not enough to have good cast and good director, but you also need to choose an attractive and interesting locations. Moreover, as the most successful films have proved to be those that had the Most snaps at exotic locations.

There are over 200 countries in the world and each is unique in its own way. Some have access to the sea some don’t, some are very densely populated as Japan, India or China and some are extremely sparsely populated such as Mongolia or Central African Republic. There are countries that are spread on several continents such as Russia, which is the largest country in the world, Kazakhstan and Turkey. All in all, each state deserves to be given equal attention and to be equally respected. Russia, as already mentioned, with its surface area of 17,075,400 is the largest country in the world that takes days and days to be visited by car for example. But what would you say for the state for which you need only a few minutes to traverse by car through them and which are more reminiscent of the cities than the state. These are the smallest countries in the world that deserve equal attention as the largest ones.

1. Vatican

The Vatican is called a state within a state, and it’s smallest in the world. Vatican is a very specific country and attracts many tourists from around the world. Vatican is the seat of the Catholic Christian belief. The St. Peter’s Square, which is one of the most visited squares in the world ever, is located in the centre of Vatican. In this little country, a few times a year, the Pope is speaking to faithful people from the balcony. Vatican is located in the center of Rome, which is capital of Italy. Vatican’s area is only 0.4 km and it has 770 inhabitants, none of which don’t ordinarily stay in this country, because next to St. Peter’s square, are located musem complexes. Although it’s the smallest one, it’s still one of the most specific states ever.

2. Monaco

The first association of people for this principality are Grace Kelly, Formula 1, casino and more. This principality on the south of France is one of the smallest countries after Vatican. It’s just a little bigger than the Vatican. But many call Monaco the European Manhattan, because there are too many people and skyscrapers for a tiny country of only 0.7 km. On that 0.7 km lives over 30 thousand people which is fascinating. Through this tiny country lies the path for Formula 1 and this little country was the home of Princess Grace Kelly, who was famous Hollywood diva before she became a princess. What makes this state a state is a city Monte Carlo where a famous casino is located and gamblers gather from all over the world. Monte Carlo has a beautiful coastline and is mainly targeted by the wealthiest people. Along its shores you can find expensive yachts. What’s also interesting is that this small principality gained independence in the 13th century.

3. Nauru

Despite being one of the smallest states in the world, Nauru is a specific state because it is the only country in the world that doesn’t have the capital city. It gained independence in 1968. Area of this state is 21 km and it has about 10,000 inhabitants. Nauru is an island located in the South Pacific, with beautiful beaches that attract tourists from all over the world. Generally, the largest population is concentrated along the coast, and the interesting thing is that, on this island there are no fix working hours for those who live here. So when we add sand beaches, tall palm trees, nice tempreture .. this is an island that can be called paradise on earth.

4. Tuvalu

Tuvalu is an island state which lies at exactly half way between Australia and Hawaii. Tuvalu consists of nine small islands, which are extremely low-lying in height. The tallest point on the island is only five meters above the sea. Tuvalu is comprised of 26 km and has about 13,000 inhabitants. The citizens of Tuvalu, on a referendum in 1978 voted for independence from Great Britain. What makes this country well-known is the internet domain, on which this state earned millions and millions since it was purchased by many of the world’s television networks.

5. San Marino

This state, although very little, is visited by tourists and is one of states with the highest standards. It is pleasant to live in it. In addition to its standards and three million tourists a year, this state is specific bacause San Marino is considered as the oldest state in the world. It is believed that San Marino was founded by Marin, who was a sculptor from the island Rabe, back in year of 301. State was named by stone-cutter state. San Marino is divided into nine small towns, each of which is on its hill. This state is really worth a visit, because on the whole country you can see well-preserved medieval fortresses which is why this state is called state-fortress.

6. Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein is like San Marino, a very visited country with high living standards. This state is particularly well visited in the winter because there are many ski slopes and hotel complexes on its territory. Liechtenstein is comprised of 160 km and has about 34,000 inhabitants and the capital city is Vaduz. It stretches between Austria and Switzerland. The state is named after the dynasty of Liechtenstein, whose palace is one of the hallmarks of this small European country. In addition to this palace as one of the symbols of the Liechtenstein, are stamps, because in this little country there is a Post-stamps collection Museum that has the most valuable stamps.

7. Marshall Islands

On this list of smallest states there are many island countries. Among them are the Marshall Islands. It consists of 29 islands that are positioned in the central parts of the Pacific. The largest island is Kvajelin and the smallest one is Bikini. Area of this island state is 181 km, and this area is inhabited by little more than 58,000 inhabitants. This beautiful and very attractive Isles received independence from the United States in 1979. This Islander is rich with beautiful beaches and palm trees and it’s a very attractive destination. This Islander consists of atoll islands with interesting shapes and beautiful nature. Various specific forms oblong islands in particular. Marshall Islands are well known for Bikini island where the first nuclear bomb was tested by the United States.

8. Saint Kitts and Nevis

This state consists of two islands: Saint Kitts and Nevis. Area of this island state is 261 km² and the territory is inhabited by about 39,000 inhabitants. This Islander is also very frequented by tourists due to beautiful seas, shores and beaches.
Saint Kitts and Nevis belong to small Antilles in the Caribbean Sea and the thing is what this country is distinguished is that it’s the smallest country in the Western Hemisphere. The capital of Basseterre is located on the island of Saint Kitts. This state has won a state independence in the 1983rd year. These two islands are highly demanded tourist destinations.

9. Seychelles

Another top tourist destination is one of the smallest state of the world. Seychelles tourists visit from all over the world due to its attractiveness. It consists of 115 islands. This Islander is located in the warm Indian Ocean close to the black continent (Africa). The area of the Islander is 455 km ² and about 81,000 people inhabit this beautiful island. The capital city is Victoria, located on the island of Mahe. For Seychelles are very characteristic landscapes that we see in films, such as great beaches with white sand overlooked by palm trees risen high around the beach while you can see the picturesque cottages. Seychelles are among the top richest countries in Africa because they earn a lot from tourism.

10. Malta

Malta is an isle located in the Mediterranean Sea. Although Malta is geographically closer to Africa, this country still ranks among the states of Southern Europe. Malta and Monaco are (though much bigger than Monaco) small countries that are very densely populated. On the territory of 316 km² about 412,000 inhabitants live. In this state it’s very densed population, especially in the capital city Valletta. Malta is also a great tourist force because of its very beautiful capital city and because of the sea and beautiful beaches and the very favorable position in the Mediterranean Sea, and is located at the intersection of many roads. Malta is also famous for the so-called medical tourism. Across the country can be found many rehabilitation complexes that are well attended. What is also interesting to note, is that Malta is among the countries with the lowest crime rates. Therefore, this state is very attractive to live and go on vacation to. La Valletta is worth a visit for its beautiful streets and beautiful architecture. Malta gained independence in 1964 from Britain.

Around the world in different cities we encounter the streets that will draw our attention, because of the shape, length or width. Some streets are narrow and less than one meter, while for some of the streets we would need a few minutes to cross to the other side. There are streets that are just a few meters long, some are so steep that they had instead of asphalt they had to be concreted … In any case strange streets are everywhere.

1. Parliament Street (London)

This street was built in London back in 1300th and it was named “Little” street, however, it was renamed to Parliament Street when the English Parliament passed a decision on expansion of this street, which has never been done. For people who are a little bit bigger or those with larger bags it would be impossible to go through this street, because this street is only 0.64 meters wide. It is clear that there is no traffic going through this street, only pedestrians. This is the street where you could not easily avoid the person coming from the other direction. The street is long fifty meters.

2. Spreuerhofstraße (Germany)

If you thought that the Parliament Street in London is the narrowest street in the world then you are wrong. Narrowest street is actually in Germany in the town of Reutlingen. It was built back in 1727 during the renovation of the neighborhood from fire that occurred a year before. Narrowest parts of this street are up to thirty inches wide, while the widest part amounts to 50 centimeters. This street is registered as a City Street number 77.

3. Lombard Street (San Francisco)

Lombard Street is seen as the most bizzare street ever made. This street definitely leaves a strong impression because it’s steep and has eight famous curves. It has eight rounded corners because it was believed that otherwise this street would be too steep and unsafe for driving. In this street the parking is definitely prohibited. What also leaves strong impression is beautifully landscaped area next to the winding road. In addition to the entire length of road can hedges and colorful flowers can be seen.

4. Baldwin Street (New Zealand)

Although Lombard Street is one of the steepest streets, there are more extreme ones than this street. One example is Baldwin Street in New Zealand. Although New Zealand is full of examples of steep streets, Baldwin street, with it’s 35 degree slope is the most steep street in the world. This street is so steep that it is not made from asphalt, but concrete. If it was made of asphalt, after a while all the asphalt would fell to the end of the street due to the high slopes. This street was created by British designers who have never even been in New Zealand, they just designed it by heart and they were not aware of any startling projects that they spawned.

5. The Magical Swindon Roundabout (England)

This roundabout is constructed in 1972. and it’s often named the worst roundabout ever built. The magical Swindon roundabout is very unpopular in England. This circular flow is composed of five smaller roundabouts but, when passing through each of these roundabout you have to go through all small circuits in the counter-clockwise direction, and that’s just not suitable for citizens of England. Therefore, this circular flow is generally avoided by Englishmen.

6. The 9th of July Avenue (Buenos Aires)

The capital of Argentina holds the record for the world’s widest street in the world. It contains six lanes and it extends along an entire block of this great city. There are many important institutions of this city in this street, but also a very significant landmarks such as statues of Don Quixote and Obelix and the square Plaza de la Republica. The best indicator of how wide the street is, is the time that you need to cross from one side of the street to the other because it may take more than five minutes to cross to the other side.

7. Yonge Street (Ontario, Canada)

The longest street ever built in the world is Yonge Street. This street is in the Guinness Book of Records with its length of 1.896 kilometers. Street begins in Toronto lakeshore and it ends at the border with Minnesota. Certainly this street is one of the most specific streets in the world.

8. Ebenezer Place (Scotland)

Besides the existence of one of the world’s narrowest streets in England (Parliament Street), there is also the shortest street ever. In the Scottish town of Vik, this street is only 2.6 meters long. This street has its place of honor as the shortest in the Guinness Book of records. In this street there is only one house – Ebenezer Place No.1, that was built back in 1883. This house is now converted into a hotel called “Mackays” hotel. Ebenezer’s Place got the status of a street in the year of 1887.

9. Putrajaya (Malaysia)

The biggest roundabout in the world ever built is situated in Malaysia. The path is located in the southern part of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. This place is a new political center of Kuala Lumpur. This roundabout is 3.4 kilometers long. In addition to its size, what leaves a strong impression about this roundabout is its environment because within this circular path there is a beautiful nature. At the roundabout, there are many parks, forests and hills.

10. Savoy Court (England)

Another street from this list is in England. This street is the only street in England where it is allowed to drive on the right, which is inconsistent with rules of driving in Britain. While in England this is one of the most confusing streets, for Europeans this would be given rest, because of the UK driving rules are different from the rest of Europe. This street dates from the time when they were using chariots, and the coachmen were allowed to open the door for the gentlemen without leaving his seat.

Beep beep beep! No more! Snooze! 5 more minutes. And again. And again, and we are late for school or job. Each one of us have a morning ritual and a way to avoid getting up immediately, but I believe that everybody will find here an friend to help them deal whit getting out of bed.

1. Are you serious?

Everyone loves to sleep “just 15 more minutes” by pressing the “Snooze” button on their mobile phone. If you press that button on this alarm clock, it will connect you to the internet over WiFi, take money from your online account and donate it to various nonprofit organizations. Configures easily and very quickly becomes the worst enemy of your sleep.

2. Hide and seek

This nice gadget will quickly become your worst enemy and once you tell him (of course, by pressing the button) you want to sleep 5 more minutes, it will be understood as if you told him that you want to play hide and seek. Then it will start moving around to find a hidden place to make you get out of a bed, find it, and turn it off. When you do that, you will probably no longer be able to sleep.

3. The Bomb

If you have relatives, roommates or friend that are sleepyheads, buy the bomb alarm clock and the mission will be completed. This is an alarm clock that will wake you up at a set time by throwing puzzle pieces into the air, after that beeping starts. To turn it off, you have to find these parts and return them to their place. After that, you probably wont be able to sleep anymore.

6. Hanging alarm

You sleep, and it starts to beeps above your head. Raise your hand and press the magic button that gives you a few more minutes. You will probably be happy when you get back to bed but after a couple of minutes irritating sound will start again. Nightmare begins… You will have to stretch even more to catch the magic button. After a few tries you realize that you jump on the bed to retrieve a magic button… This hanging clock, of course, refers victory.

7. For those who really hate alarms

If every morning you want to throw an alarm clock that wakes you up so mercilessly just buy this watch-ball. If you want to vent all your rage against all alarm clocks now is the time. Throw it as hard as you can against the wall, because, that is the only way to turn it off.

8. On your feet!

No more sleeping and wasting time! A new day of work! The alarm rings, and the only way to silence it is to step on it… Just do not get back back to bed…

9. Wake up and save money

Once it starts to ring, it will not only wake you up, it will force you to save a little. The only way to turn it off the beeps is to give him a coin. One day you gonna love it for sure.

10. Silent alarm

We believe this is the best way to wake up. If, like most people, do not submit buzzing, hissing and other sounds that emit alarm, try this one. The length of maximum and minimum intensity of an aurora is affected by the sunspot cycle, usually at its opposite. Aurora’s ability to assume infinite forms only makes it more magnificent.
